Domaine Courtault Michelet, Lignorelles

Domaine Courtault Michelet is situated in the village of Lignorelles, a few kilometres north west of Chablis. The tiny village sits on the top of a plateau and most of the vineyards face south or south west, meaning the grapes ripen slightly earlier than the rest of the Chablis region.

The domaine was created in 2019 by the amalgamation of Domaine Jean Claude Courtault and Domaine Stéphanie et Vincent Michelet. Today the domaine has 28 hectares of vineyards, across the Chablis villages of Beine, Lignorelles, Villy and Maligny.

Their Petit Chablis is a particular strength, with well positioned sites near the winery. Fermentation and ageing is done in stainless steel and the wines are aged on their fine lees until the following spring for maximum structure and depth.
